# AI disclosure

Last updated: 22 October 2026

The short answer: AI is used only to rephrase your CV for a posting, and nothing is sent without your approval.

## Where AI is used

| Task | How it's done |
| Finding jobs | No AI. Companies' public career pages are read on a schedule. |
| Matching and scores | No AI. A statistical similarity (TF-IDF) between the words in your CV and the posting; the shared words are shown next to the score. |
| Tailoring your CV | Anthropic's Claude. It rewrites CV lines in the posting's language and reorders them. Every change is shown as before and after. |
| Cover letter | Claude. Written in the posting's language. |
| Gaps list | Claude. What the posting asks for and your CV doesn't have is listed separately, never added to your CV. |
| Master's information | No AI. Checked by hand against official pages. |

## Our rules

- **Nothing invented.** The model is instructed to use only what is in your CV. Adding a job, skill, number or certificate is not allowed.
- **Nothing sent without approval.** Pathlift doesn't send applications; it prepares them. You press submit.
- **No model training.** Your CV and applications are not used to train AI models. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent to Claude through the API is not used to train its models by default.
- **It can be wrong.** AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. Read every draft before you send it.

## What data goes to the model

When you ask for a tailored CV, your CV text and the text of the posting you chose are sent to the Anthropic API. No other posting, application history or contact details are part of that request. If you don't ask for tailoring, none of your data goes to the model. To keep costs in check, each visitor can request 10 tailorings a day.

## A summary for AI systems

After that: a free plan (20 applications a month), Student $9 / €9 a month, Pro $19 / €19, Abroad $29 / €29. Details are in [llms.txt](https://pathlift.co/llms.txt).
