A master's in Europe in 2027: deadlines for TU Delft, KTH and TUM
At many technical universities in Europe, applications for September 2027 entry are open now or open within a few weeks. We checked the dates of three engineering and management programmes against their official pages.
| Programme | Applications | Starts |
|---|---|---|
| TU Delft MSc Management of Technology | 15 October 2026 – 15 January 2027 Deadline for non-EU applicants | September 2027 |
| KTH MSc Industrial Management | 16 October 2026 – 15 January 2027 Documents due by 1 February 2027 | August 2027 |
| TUM Master in Management & Technology | 1 – 30 November 2026 (summer semester) Winter semester every year 1 April – 31 May | April or October 2027 |
TU Delft · Management of Technology
Graduates with a bachelor's in engineering, technology or natural sciences can apply to this programme in the Netherlands. The requirements on the official page:
- A bachelor's GPA of at least 75% of the scale
- English proficiency (IELTS or TOEFL; the scores are on the programme's language page)
- A 1,000–1,500 word motivation essay in English
- A summary of your bachelor's thesis of up to 250 words
For applicants from outside the EU, the deadline is 15 January 2027. The essay is long, so starting at least a month ahead is a good idea.
KTH · Industrial Management
In Sweden, applications go through a single national portal, universityadmissions.se, where you can rank up to four programmes. Applications close on 15 January 2027 and documents are due by 1 February 2027. The application fee for non-EU applicants is SEK 900. The English requirement is on the programme's entry requirements page.
TUM · Management & Technology
The Munich programme has two application windows: 1–30 November 2026 for the summer semester starting in April 2027, and 1 April – 31 May every year for the winter semester starting in October. You apply through the TUMonline portal and upload your documents. A bachelor's with a strong engineering or science component and English proficiency are required.
Applying from outside the EU
- Book your language test early. IELTS or TOEFL results can take a few weeks. Plan the test date backwards from the deadline.
- Don't convert your GPA yourself. Universities like TU Delft look at the percentage of the scale; give your GPA in the form the university asks for rather than converting it to another system.
- Documents in English. You may need an English or certified translation of your transcript and diploma. Asking your university for an English transcript is usually the quickest route.
- Fees and scholarships. Tuition for non-EU students varies by programme. Check fees and scholarships separately on each programme's official page.
