One by one

When should you pick them, and when Pathlift?

Pathlift and Tsenta

Pathlift borrows Tsenta's way of working (catch the role at the source, prepare the application for the posting, track it) but is built for candidates applying across borders, Europe first, and puts the master's calendar in the same place.

Tsenta is better if

  • You're job hunting in the US; it covers far more companies and postings than we do.
  • You want the form submitted for you. On Pathlift, you always press submit.
  • You want a product that's already live. Pathlift is still pre-launch.

Pathlift is better if

  • You're targeting Europe (Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, Ireland) rather than the US.
  • You're deciding between a job and a master's; both are on one board.

Pathlift and LinkedIn

LinkedIn is both a network and a job board. Pathlift doesn't show LinkedIn postings and doesn't automate anything on LinkedIn, because LinkedIn's user agreement prohibits bots and automation.

LinkedIn is better if

  • You're applying to companies that post only on LinkedIn.
  • You want to connect with recruiters directly.

Pathlift is better if

  • You want a separate CV and cover letter for every posting.
  • You want to see roles on the company's own page before they reach job boards.

Questions

About this comparison

Is Pathlift a European Tsenta?

The way it works is similar: find the role on the company's own page, prepare the application for the posting and track it. The differences are that it's built for candidates applying across borders, Europe first, includes the master's calendar and doesn't submit applications for you.

Does Pathlift work with my LinkedIn account?

No. We don't automate anything on LinkedIn or other job boards or take postings from them. If you're applying there, Pathlift can prepare the application and you send it.

Which one shows more postings?

Today, more than Pathlift: LinkedIn carries far more postings everywhere, and Tsenta covers many more companies in the US. Pathlift's current coverage is shown live on the job board.
