The Global Credit Risk department sets the credit risk strategy, ensuring that ING’s lending practices are in line with its risk tolerance and regulatory requirements and managing credit restructuring from a global and central point. Global Credit Risk plays a critical role via its credit risk policies, credit risk appetite setting and credit risk portfolio management in protecting the bank from losses due to defaults or economic downturns. The team is responsible for overseeing credit risk performance across ING’s WB network, including sector-specific portfolios.
