The Challenge and Position At our site in Eindhoven we develop and produce high end Transmission Electron Microscopes (TEM). It takes a year to build and tested before we can ship it to our customers. Most of these microscopes are customer specific. On top of that, innovations take place in a fast pace which makes the supply chain and material availability process complex and challenging. Position Summary: The Purchasing Buyer role carries responsibility for purchasing materials for our production, including purchase order creation and execution across a variety of commodities. This is achieved through maintaining business relationships with key suppliers as well as key stakeholder in- and externally and ensuring timely delivery of materials which meet specifications and expectations (including quality and level of service) at the best life cycle cost.
