Terms of use

Last updated: 22 October 2026

By using Pathlift you accept these terms. We've tried to keep them short and clear.

Draft. This text was written for the pre-launch prototype and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. The company's legal name and address will be added once it is incorporated. Last updated: 22 October 2026.

1. The service

Pathlift is software that helps you find job postings and master's programmes, prepare your applications and track them. Pathlift is not a recruitment agency, a career counsellor or a legal adviser. It does not guarantee a job, an interview or an admission.

2. Your account

3. Applications are made with you, not for you

Pathlift prepares the application; you decide whether to send it. You are responsible for the content of every application you send. We expect you to read each draft before sending it and correct it where needed.

4. AI output

Tailored CVs and cover letters are prepared with AI and can be inaccurate or incomplete. Pathlift is designed not to add information that isn't in your CV, but we can't guarantee it. Details are on the how we use AI page.

5. Third-party sites

Postings and programme information come from the public pages of companies and universities, which are responsible for their accuracy and currency. We have no partnership with the companies and universities listed. We don't automate anything on platforms such as LinkedIn or other job boards; using those platforms within their own rules is up to you.

6. What you may not do

7. Fees and cancellation

Paid plans are offered on the terms on the pricing page. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period. Mandatory consumer rights where you live are not affected. The pre-launch prototype is free.

8. Limits of liability

Pathlift is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage or missed opportunities. This limit does not apply in cases of intent or gross negligence.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will announce important changes in advance. The governing law and the competent courts will be set out here once the company is incorporated. If you are a consumer, you can always rely on the mandatory law and the courts of the country where you live.
